Grandfather plants a tiny seed. The sun is very warm. The turnip grows and grows. It is now very big. It is an enormous turnip. Grandfather wants to pull it. He pulls and he pulls. The turnip does not move.

Grandfather calls for Grandmother. Grandmother is happy to help. She pulls on Grandfather. Grandfather pulls the turnip. They pull and they tug. They tug and they pull. The turnip stays in ground. It is a giant turnip.

The Granddaughter comes to help. The little Dog comes too. They are all very cheerful. Dog pulls on Granddaughter. Granddaughter pulls on Grandmother. Grandmother pulls on Grandfather. They pull with all might. The turnip is still stuck.

A fluffy Cat comes out. A tiny Mouse comes too. Mouse is very, very small. Everyone pulls together now. Mouse pulls on the Cat. Cat pulls on the Dog. Suddenly, the turnip pops out! Everyone falls on the grass.

They carry the turnip home. Grandmother makes some hot soup. The soup smells very sweet. They all sit and eat. Every friend has a bowl. The little Mouse eats too. Helping friends feels so good. The soup is very tasty.
