The Monkey and the Crocodile

Monkey lives in a tree. He eats sweet red fruit. Crocodile lives in the river. Monkey shares his red fruit. "Thank you," says the Crocodile. They are very good friends. They eat red fruit together. Yum, yum, it is sweet!

Crocodile goes home to Wife. He brings her red fruit. Wife loves the red fruit. "I want the whole tree!" Crocodile feels a little sad. He wants to help Wife. He makes a little plan. Will Monkey help him today?

"Come home," says the Crocodile. Monkey jumps on his back. The river is big and deep. Monkey stays very, very brave. "I am sorry," says Crocodile. "Wife wants your big tree." Monkey smiles a big smile. He has a smart idea.

"The tree is far away!" "We must swim back now." Crocodile swims back very fast. Monkey jumps to the land. Monkey is safe and brave. "I am safe," says Monkey. Crocodile says, "I am sorry." Monkey hugs his big tree.

Monkey gives Crocodile more fruit. Crocodile brings Wife to see. They all sit together now. They eat the red fruit. Yum, yum, it is sweet! They are all good friends. Friends tell the truth now. They play every single day.
