Sam is a little boy. He watches many white sheep. The sun is very hot. Sam feels very, very bored. He wants to have fun. He wants to play games. Sam looks at the hills. He has a big idea.

Sam shouts for the people. 'Wolf! Wolf!' Sam yells loud. The villagers run up fast. They bring their big sticks. But there is no wolf. Sam laughs and laughs now. The people go back down. Sam does this again later.

A real wolf comes out. The wolf has floppy ears. He likes to jump around. He chases the white sheep. The sheep run away fast. 'Wolf! Wolf!' Sam cries out. No one comes to help. The hill stays very quiet.

Sam feels very, very sad. His kind grandmother walks up. She hugs Sam very tight. They look for the sheep. The wolf is just playing. He finds a soft ball. Sam finds his sheep soon. Grandmother holds Sam's small hand.

Sam goes to the village. 'I am sorry,' Sam says. He tells the true story. The people smile at him. They eat sweet apples now. Sam tells the truth now. It feels good to tell truth. Everyone is very happy today.
