The world was very new. Little Hummingbird was very small. He was a grey bird. He flew to every tree. The flowers were his friends. He liked to help them. He worked hard every day. He was a happy bird.

The flowers needed some help. Hummingbird carried their golden dust. He visited the tall trees. He visited the soft grass. He helped the flowers grow. He did not want prizes. He just loved his friends. Helping felt very good today.

The Rose was very happy. She had a big surprise. She gave him some red. Now his throat was bright. "Thank you," said the Rose. The little bird felt warm. He smiled a big smile. Red looked good on him.

The Bluebell gave him blue. The Fern gave him green. He had many bright spots. He looked like a rainbow. Each flower gave a gift. He was a colorful bird. His grey feathers were gone. He was a pretty sight.

Now he flies very fast. He is a tiny rainbow. The flowers love him still. He is a kind friend. He helps the garden grow. His colors shine so bright. It is a happy world. Kindness is a beautiful thing.
