Goldilocks lived near a big forest. She loved to find new things. One day, she saw a cottage. The house looked very quiet today. Goldilocks felt very curious about it. She walked up to the door.
She knocked softly on the wood. Nobody came to the front door. Goldilocks saw the door was open. She stepped inside the warm house. The house smelled like sweet honey. It was a very cozy place. She wanted to see more inside.
Three bowls sat on the table. The first bowl was too hot. The second bowl was too cold. The third bowl was just right. Goldilocks ate all the yummy porridge. It was a very savory meal. She felt full and very happy.
She saw three chairs nearby. The big chair felt too hard. The middle chair felt too soft. The small chair felt just right. Suddenly, the little chair broke apart. Goldilocks felt bad about the chair. She hoped she could fix it.
Goldilocks went upstairs to the bedroom. The first bed was very hard. The second bed was too soft. The third bed was very comfy. She closed her tired blue eyes. The little girl fell fast asleep. She dreamed of flowers and bees.
The Three Bears came back home. They were very hungry for lunch. Papa Bear looked at his bowl. Mama Bear looked at her bowl. Baby Bear saw his empty bowl. The bears were very bewildered now. They wondered who ate the food.
The bears looked at their chairs. Papa Bear saw his big chair. Mama Bear saw her middle chair. Baby Bear saw his broken chair. He felt very sad about it. Someone broke my chair, he said. The bears looked for their guest.
They walked into the quiet bedroom. Papa Bear saw his messy bed. Mama Bear saw her messy bed. Baby Bear saw the little girl. Goldilocks woke up with a jump. She saw the three fuzzy bears. She felt very startled and surprised.
I am so sorry, Goldilocks said. She gave a very sincere apology. She told them about her curiosity. Baby Bear smiled at her kindly. I want to be friends, he said. The bears were not angry anymore. They all went back downstairs together.
Goldilocks helped fix the small chair. She brought some honey to share. They had a big tea party. The bears were very happy hosts. Everyone was very kind and polite. Goldilocks always asked to enter now. She was a very courteous friend.
