The Wind and the Sun

The sky was very blue. The yellow Sun was bright. The silver Wind was fast. "I am strong," said Wind. "I am strong," said Sun. They saw a little man. The man wore a coat. "Who can remove that coat?"

The Wind went first. He took a big breath. "Whoosh!" blew the cold Wind. "Whoosh, whoosh!" he went. The man felt very cold. He pulled his coat tight. He did not let go. Wind was very tired now.

Now the Sun smiled softly. He began to shine bright. The air became very warm. It was a nice day. The man looked up. He felt very happy now. He opened his big coat. The Sun kept shining warm.

The man felt very hot. He took off his coat. He put it down. He sat under a tree. He liked the warm Sun. The Sun was the winner. The Wind watched the man. The heavy coat was gone.

The Wind was very happy. "You are kind," said Wind. The Sun gave a hug. Being gentle is very good. They played in the sky. It was a good day. They were the best friends.
