Rapunzel lived in a tall tower. She had long, golden hair. The tower sat in a forest. It had no stairs inside. Rapunzel stayed high in the sky. She felt safe in her room.

The Enchantress loved the girl. She brought her sweet fruit. She also brought soft silk. "The world is scary," she said. She wanted to keep her safe. She stayed close to Rapunzel. The Enchantress was very protective.

Rapunzel loved to sing songs. Her voice was like a bird. A Prince rode his horse nearby. He heard the sweet music. He stopped to listen to her. He wondered who lived so high. He came back every single day.

One day, the Prince called out. Rapunzel looked from her window. She felt a little bit shy. "Hello," the Prince said kindly. He smiled a very big smile. Rapunzel waved her hand at him. They talked for a long time.

The Prince became her best friend. He told her about the world. He spoke of blue oceans. He told stories of busy markets. Rapunzel listened with wide eyes. She wanted to see the flowers. She wanted to walk on grass.

Rapunzel made a secret plan. She wanted to see a meadow. The Prince promised to help her. They talked about a hidden door. "We can go together," he said. Rapunzel felt a little bit nervous. Her heart beat very fast.

The Enchantress saw them talking. She felt very worried and sad. "The world is too big," she cried. She did not want Rapunzel hurt. Her eyes were full of tears. She hugged Rapunzel very tight. She was afraid of the change.

Rapunzel stood up very tall. She took a very deep breath. "I want to see the trees." "I can be very brave." She held the Enchantress's hand. Her voice was strong and clear. She was ready for a journey.

The Enchantress saw Rapunzel’s light. She knew the girl was ready. She opened the heavy tower door. "Go explore the wide world." The Prince gave her a hand. They walked out into the sun. The grass felt soft and cool.

They all became a happy family. Rapunzel visited the palace often. The Enchantress visited the palace too. They had picnics in the garden. Love made them feel very safe. Every day was a new adventure. They lived happily and very free.
